Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's Strategic Negotiator, you combine deep energy market knowledge with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective energy solutions for Google's infrastructure.

You'll negotiate PPAs, microgrid agreements, and utility tariffs, while leading cross-functional workstreams and managing vendor relationships to drive significant cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in energy project development, utility procurement, or finance/consulting roles.
• 10 years of experience developing or structuring power purchase agreements for Microgrids, BTM energy, gas turbines, BESS, fuel cell or geothermal energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex energy supply formation and commercial structuring, including behind-the-meter clean baseload energy agreements involving PPAs with energy suppliers, microgrid agreements, and utility energy supply agreements including special tariff development and sleeving structures.
• Drive cross-functional workstreams including regional market trend analysis, project economic and generation dispatch modeling, risk assessment across accounting and treasury functions, technical engineering analysis of system design, and leadership alignment across energy and infrastructure executives.
• Seek and identify new energy-ready sites, while developing relationships with IPPs, utilities, co-ops, and other energy stakeholders.
• Contribute to the growth of Google's data center portfolio through energy due diligence during site selection and data center project development.
