Job summary

Google is hiring a Senior Strategic Negotiator, Data Center Leasing and Investments to lead high-value real estate agreements and complex multi-million-dollar transactions. You will guide market analysis, architect commercial models, and mentor a team of negotiators to deliver impactful contractual outcomes.

Your role combines market expertise with technical awareness of data center needs, partnering with internal teams and external providers to optimize capacity and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 14 years of experience leading negotiations or business development.
• MBA or Master's degree (preferred).
• Experience in real estate development, evaluation, acquisition, construction, and site selection for industrial-scale projects.
• Experience with power transmission and distribution, data center technology, or related technical areas (N+1, 2N).
• Experience in managing and negotiating government incentives and economic development agreements.
• Ability to execute in fast-paced, dynamic, collegial and collaborative environments.
• Proven track record of success with large-scale industrial developers or a major cloud provider.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end negotiation and execution of high-value real estate agreements, colocation leases, power purchase agreements, and joint ventures.
• Architect commercial models like NNN leases and sales-leasebacks, negotiating business terms with Legal and Finance to mitigate long-term operational risks.
• Conduct research and modeling to assess capacity needs and expansion markets, cultivating relationships with key colocation providers and developers.
• Build business cases using NPV and ROI, presenting summaries to executives to justify multi-million-dollar investments.
• Interface between internal technical teams and external partners, implementing tracking systems to align infrastructure needs with commercial reality.
