Job summary

Google seeks a Strategic Negotiator to secure infrastructure for its expanding data centers and services. You will negotiate complex energy supply arrangements, including PPAs and microgrid projects, across multiple sites while collaborating with energy- and infrastructure-focused executives.

Lead execution, manage vendor relationships, and drive cost savings to support Google’s global infrastructure growth and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in energy project development, utility procurement, or finance/consulting roles.
• 10 years of experience developing or structuring PPAs for Microgrids, BTM energy, gas turbines, BESS, fuel cell or geothermal energy.
• Experience in indirect taxes, economic development policy, infrastructure development, agreement drafting, and presentation development, plus data center markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex energy supply formation and commercial structuring, including behind-the-meter PPAs with energy suppliers, microgrid agreements, and utility energy supply agreements.
• Drive cross-functional workstreams: market analysis, economic modeling, risk assessment, system design, and executive alignment for approvals.
• Identify new energy-ready sites and strengthen relationships with IPPs, utilities, co-ops, and energy stakeholders.
• Contribute to Google's data center portfolio through energy due diligence during site selection and project development.
