Job summary

HDR is seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer in Denver, CO to lead electrical design for mission critical facilities. You will collaborate with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, code-compliant solutions.

This role emphasizes mentorship of junior engineers, strong communication, and coordination across disciplines to meet schedules and budgets. Local candidates preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis.
• PE license required or clearly in progress with path to licensure.
• Experience in electrical design for buildings and data centers.
• Strong organization, communication, and leadership for project teams.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, CYMCAP, and office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for data center/mission critical projects from concept to construction.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, architects, and engineers across disciplines.
• Develop feasibility reports, construction documents, specs, and calculations.
• Perform RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and site observations.
• Mentor junior staff and manage workload across projects.
