Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Denver, Colorado. You will lead electrical design for mission critical data center projects, coordinating with clients, project managers, architects, and engineers to deliver high-quality construction documents.

You will mentor junior staff, participate in design meetings, and ensure code compliance while supporting project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• At least 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power, lighting, and life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on data center/mission critical projects.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop feasibility reports, construction documents, specs, and calculations.
• Perform QA/QC of construction documents and technical reports; respond to RFIs.
