Job summary

HDR is seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer to join its Building Engineering Services team in Denver, Colorado. You will design projects from start to finish, coordinate with clients, project managers, and architects, and lead electrical discussions in design meetings.

The role emphasizes mentorship of junior staff, handling feasibility studies, construction documents, and project deliverables for mission critical environments. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Requires professional engineering license (PE) recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position.
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and EasyPower.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, organize, and facilitate the growth of junior staff and coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Lead electrical design for data center/mission critical projects and work with clients to understand requirements around reliability and lifecycle costs.
• Design support during construction including field observations, RFIs, and shop drawing reviews; participate in code compliance reviews.
