Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Data Center) to lead the electrical team on data center and mission-critical facilities. You will guide engineering solutions across project lifecycles, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive design quality.

You will establish client relationships, participate in business development, and serve as the electrical discipline lead for data center projects, ensuring code compliance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• PE or P.Eng license required.
• Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design.
• Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
• 10+ years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Experience with data center and mission-critical facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Electrical team across data center and other industrial projects.
• Develop and deliver engineering solutions and project deliverables.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Serve as electrical discipline lead for data center projects.
• Coordinate workload to meet schedules and budgets.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Support project reviews with corporate management.
• Oversee design of medium-voltage distribution, standby generation, UPS, and related systems.
