Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical/Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on electrical design for data centers and mission-critical facilities, coordinated with clients, project managers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.

You will mentor junior staff, develop feasibility reports and construction documents, and contribute to design development and construction administration. Travel to sites may be required in support of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and grow junior staff and coordinate cross-discipline teams.
• Lead electrical design for data center/mission critical projects.
• Coordinate workload to meet project schedules.
• Attend design meetings and lead electrical discussions.
• Review design documents, RFIs, and construction support.
• Support construction with field observations and submittal reviews.
• Travel to job sites as needed.

Education
