Job summary

QTS Data Centers in the United States seeks a Development Sr. Project Manager (Data Center Construction MEPR) to lead design, pre-construction and construction activities on assigned projects.

You will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors and Data Center Operations staff. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, with responsibility to manage budgets, schedules and site master plans, and to coordinate with design and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive updates, and Excel for budgets.
• Be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects on a campus and maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Create and communicate updates on development program and project status for executives.
• Develop a master development program for sites, including budget and design solutions.
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for assigned site projects.
• Implement multi-phased site development plans to meet time, budget and quality goals.
• Write scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning and procurement.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction and commissioning services.
• Coordinate with procurement on equipment delivery and processes.
• Ensure submittals are coordinated with site stakeholders.
• Monitor project budget/cost-to-date and establish schedules.
• Review and approve monthly pay applications and change orders.
