Job summary

The Aegis Companies seek a Senior Construction Manager to provide construction management support for a client’s data center practice. The role requires 3–7 years of construction experience, with the client and A/E team making design, schedule, and cost decisions.

The position emphasizes risk escalation, organization, and daily coordination to ensure project success. Responsibilities include overseeing pay applications, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and daily logs.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of construction experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or related field (waived with 5+ years of direct construction experience).
• Ability to prioritize time to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proven ability to speak up when facing roadblocks.
• Passion for keeping project details on track.

Responsibilities

• Escalate issues to the client as the #1 priority; keep client informed to resolve them.
• Review General Contractor pay applications for accuracy before client submission.
• Review and validate change order requests and supporting documents; escalate aged changes.
• Review OFCI vendor invoices for correct delivery and condition before payment.
• Conduct daily reviews of logs, photos, and trackers to monitor issues and risks.
• Meet with the CM daily to discuss activities and progress.
• Facilitate videoconferences with Architect/Engineer to address RFIs and submittals.
• Identify RFIs and submittals needing escalation for schedule impact.
