Job summary

QTS is seeking a Senior Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction) to lead design, preconstruction, and construction on campus projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications, coordinating with Facilities, Designers, and Operations.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering, 5+ years in commercial construction, and strong MS Office skills for executive updates and budgeting. Travel may be required as part of the business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with MS Office for program updates and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, preconstruction, and construction activities for data center projects.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and status reports for multiple campuses.
• Develop master development programs, including site design and capital budgets.
• Coordinate entitlement and permitting processes for sites.
• Prepare scopes of work for design/construction and participate in cost estimates.
• Review pricing proposals and negotiate changes with contractors.
• Collaborate with procurement for equipment and delivery.
• Ensure submittals are coordinated with stakeholders and track cost-to-date.
• Maintain site master plans and on-time completion milestones.
• Present updates to executives to support decisions.
• Represent QTS in high-level meetings and maintain stakeholder relationships.
