Job summary

QTS Data Centers seeks a Senior Development Project Manager to lead design, preconstruction and construction for multiple campuses. You will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff.

Responsibilities include managing budgets and schedules, creating executive updates, developing master development programs, entitlements, and multi-phased site plans to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices.
• Experience communicating program updates to executives using PowerPoint and Excel.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• US Citizenship required by law due to federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple campus projects with updated budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Create monthly executive updates on development program and status.
• Develop master development program for sites and capital budget.
• Manage entitlements and permitting for projects.
• Implement multi-phased site development plans and update campus master plan.
• Write scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services and procurement.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services.
• Coordinate equipment procurement with strategic procurement team.
• Ensure submittals are coordinated with site stakeholders.
• Monitor and report project budget and cost-to-date.
• Establish site schedules and manage teams to on-time completion.
• Review and approve monthly pay applications from contractors.
• Review change orders and negotiate pricing.
• Develop site security procedures with the security team.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers to support client deals within schedule and budget.
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and lead in OAC meetings.
• Contribute to due diligence for potential new sites and improve PM processes.
