Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Senior Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction) to lead design, preconstruction, and construction activities on assigned projects. You will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff, communicating effectively at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• Five+ years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple campus projects with budgets, schedules and status reports.
• Create monthly development program updates for executive reviews.
• Coordinate design, construction, and procurement across stakeholders.
• Oversee entitlement and permitting for site projects.
• Develop and maintain campus master plans and budgets.
• Prepare scopes of work and participate in cost estimates.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services.
• Collaborate with procurement on equipment delivery.
• Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders.
• Track budget vs. cost-to-date and ensure on-time completion.
• Review monthly pay applications and change orders.
• Lead site security and deployment planning.
• Engage with Sales Engineers and Product teams for custom deal solutions.
