Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an infrastructure engineer to design data center and cloud infrastructure across network, compute, storage, platform, middleware and database domains. You will analyze requirements, set standards, and work with service partners to deliver scalable data center solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure or related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop complex engineering designs for data center and cloud infrastructure.
• Own capacity planning and maintain performance standards.
• Define hardware/software performance standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT stakeholders on infrastructure designs.
• Provide guidance for production incidents and upgrades.
