Job summary

Blue Cross NC seeks an experienced infrastructure engineer to design and deliver complex data center and cloud infrastructure spanning network, compute, telephony, platform, middleware, and database solutions.

You will own capacity planning, performance standards, and lifecycle management to ensure SLAs are met, while collaborating with vendors and IT partners to drive engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree is required or 5+ years equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, architect, and deliver complex infrastructure designs for network, compute, telephony, platform, middleware, and database solutions.
• Own technology currency, lifecycle management, and capacity planning to meet SLAs.
• Define hardware and software performance standards for scalability and resilience.
• Provide expert guidance on emerging technologies and engage with vendors.
• Lead licensing, financial planning, and capacity initiatives for datacenter tech.
