Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Trainer to design, develop, deliver, and assess training for the TN22 workforce across multiple sites, ensuring readiness for cyber defense operations in DoD environments.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, a relevant degree and 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity or instructional design, and the ability to coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders to produce timely, high-quality training materials and evaluations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance; must maintain clearance eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, education, or instructional design with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience delivering cybersecurity training in large, distributed organizations.
• Experience developing training content including lesson plans and assessments.
• Knowledge of DoD cyber workforce concepts (DoD 8140 and DoD CWF).
• Ability to coordinate with government, contractor, and technical stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and improvement of cybersecurity training for the TN22 workforce.
• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, hands-on, and scenario-based training.
• Develop training materials, lesson plans, instructor guides, student guides, practical exercises, assessments, and records.
• Align training plans to DoD Cyber Workforce Framework work roles and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with technical and functional leads to reflect current tools and mission priorities.
• Assess learner performance and training effectiveness through knowledge checks and assessments.
• Identify training gaps and recommend actions to leadership.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate collective training events and readiness activities.
• Capture lessons learned and update training content accordingly.
• Coordinate training schedules, facilities, platforms, materials, and resources across sites.
• Maintain training documentation and qualification records.
• Contribute to readiness metrics, dashboards, and reports.
• Provide guidance to junior trainers and coordinators.
• Brief leadership on training execution, risks, and corrective actions.
