Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Sales Engineer to serve as the Technical Lead for the Pre-Sales process. You will collaborate with the sales team to craft targeted penetration strategies, build trust with customers, and deliver compelling demonstrations across Proofpoint’s security portfolio.

You will advise on technical discovery, POC planning, and deployment considerations, while presenting to both technical staff and executives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on technical experience in security roles (sales/SE, TAM, security engineer or senior product support).
• Experience with Enterprise or Cloud security, including SaaS platforms and email/security products.
• Strong ability to present to technical staff and executives (C-suite).
• Travel is REQUIRED for this role.
• Experience selling and positioning a platform is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Lead for Proofpoint Pre-Sales process with Sales team.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations addressing cyber threats.
• Collaborate with customers on technical discovery and Proof-of-Concept (POC) plans.
• Design and champion complex People-Centric Security solutions across Proofpoint portfolio.
• Provide customer insight to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams.
