Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking an experienced Sales Engineering Manager to lead a fast-growing team of sales engineers focused on Enterprise opportunities in the Southeast US.

You will coach, enable, and empower a team of seasoned Field Sales Engineers, while actively participating in customer engagements and complex technical discussions with C-suite executives. A background in cyber-security or cloud security is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience leading sales engineering teams, preferably in cybersecurity.
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing team members.
• Strong sales acumen and the ability to partner with account teams to drive new and add-on revenue.
• Ability to lead from the front and engage in complex technical discussions with executives.

Responsibilities

• Coach, enable and empower a team of Field Sales Engineers.
• Ramp new team members on engagement rules, relationships with AMs, technical training and autonomy.
• Develop and mentor team to achieve career goals and growth within Proofpoint.
• Lead escalations and resolve customer challenges; participate in ongoing technical training.
• Collaborate with Professional Services and Customer Success to ensure outstanding customer experience.
