Job summary

Coalition, Inc. is seeking an experienced Underwriter to drive profitable business from a select broker group and partner with our Sales organization. You will underwrite and manage products across Coalition’s portfolio, including the enterprise segment, serving as a trusted partner to brokers and customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years underwriting experience, including high-complex cyber and Technology E&O risks for large enterprise accounts
• Expertise analyzing complex cyber and Technology E&O risks and their impact on underwriting, pricing, and portfolio outcomes
• Ability to blend underwriting expertise with broker and client needs to craft credible senior-level solutions

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts, including the enterprise segment (~$1B+ revenue), per guidelines and carrier requirements.
• Shape portfolio strategy by managing broker relationships for Coalition’s largest and most complex accounts.
• Maintain disciplined underwriting files and use internal tools per workflows and governance standards.
• Lead complex negotiations on pricing, terms, structures, and exceptions with cross-functional partnerships.
• Apply deep underwriting judgment to large networks, subsidiaries, and operating-company exposures.
• Mentor other underwriters and raise underwriting discipline and broker communication.
• Collaborate with Security, Claims, Product, Actuarial, and CPU to address risk issues and translate them into underwriting decisions.
• Represent Underwriting in cross-functional strategy discussions for portfolio optimization and market growth.
• Help shape regional underwriting practices and escalation standards for sophisticated business.
• Regular travel for broker management, client meetings, education, and market-facing activity.
