Job summary

Coalition, Inc. is seeking an experienced underwriter to drive profitable business from brokers and partner with our Sales organization. You will underwrite and manage products across Coalition’s portfolio while serving as a trusted partner to brokers and clients. This is a remote opportunity that can be based anywhere in the Northeast with a strong preference for New York City. Regular travel required to nurture broker relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years underwriting experience in cyber/tech E&O or complex specialty risks.
• Ability to analyze underwriting and pricing risks independently.
• Explain decisions to brokers/clients using risk analysis.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills with brokers.
• Develop fluency in complex coverage structures and client-facing discussions.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts within authority.
• Build relationships with cyber specialists and P&C brokers.
• Maintain underwriting files and governance standards.
• Participate in broker and client meetings; present accounts.
• Handle coverage and wording discussions; escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with Coalition’s security team on underwriting decisions.
• Provide feedback to improve guidelines and processes.
• Travel regularly for broker relations and market development.
