DHL Express is seeking a Premier Gateway Clearance Supervisor to verify tariffs, weight, and documents for imported/exported goods. The role ensures federal and foreign regulatory compliance and may involve contacting customs officials to obtain release of freight.

The supervisor will manage clearance activities, maintain service standards, and lead a team of ~30 staff with two direct reports, focusing on hiring, coaching and development.

Qualifikationen

• BS/BA required with 3-5 years in related field, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Professional certification required in some areas.
• Position requires access to secured airport areas and a SIDA badge.
• Strong understanding of quality and productivity improvements, budgeting and cost control.

• Manages and coordinates customs clearance activities efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensures compliance with regulations governing shipment, receipt, and documentation.
• Establishes and updates policies, procedures, and service standards for customs clearance.
• Meets key performance indicators for the product.
• Supervises approximately 30 staff with two direct reports; hires, coaches, trains, and develops staff.
• Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews performance per policies.
