Job summary

DHL Express is seeking a qualified Gateway Clearance Supervisor to verify tariffs, weights, and documentation for exports and imports. You will ensure compliance with applicable federal and foreign regulations and coordinate with customs officials to obtain releases and resolve delays.

The role requires supervising approximately 30 staff with two direct reports, hiring, coaching, training, and performance management, and achieving KPIs while maintaining efficient operations across DHL facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and several years of supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of federal and foreign regulations related to shipments.
• Experience with performance management and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate customs clearance activities efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensure compliance with regulations governing shipments and documentation.
• Establish, monitor, and revise policies and service standards for clearance operations.
• Supervise staff, hire, coach, and develop subordinates.
• Meet KPIs for assigned product.
