DHL Express is seeking a Gateway Clearance Supervisor to oversee customs clearance activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead a team of about 30 staff across the gateway environment. The role emphasizes hiring, coaching, and developing personnel while maintaining efficient, cost-effective operations.

Responsibilities include policy development, KPI achievement, and coordination with customs officials to resolve delays, with a strong focus on maintenance of SIDA badge eligibility

Qualifikationen

• BS/BA and 3–5 years’ related experience, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
• Experience coordinating customs clearance activities and regulatory compliance.

Aufgaben

• Manages and coordinates customs clearance activities in the gateway environment efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensures compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
• Establishes, monitors, and revises policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operations.
• Ensures all policies and procedures are consistently administered.
• Responsible for meeting KPIs for a given product.
• Supervises a staff of ~30 with two direct reports; hires, coaches, trains, and develops subordinate staff.
• Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance per policies and processes.
