DHL Express in Kentucky is seeking a qualified Supervisor, Gateway Clearance to oversee customs clearance for imported/exported goods. You will verify tariffs, weight, and volume, review invoices and shipping documents, and ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations across DHL facilities.

The role leads a team of about 30, with two direct reports, focusing on hiring, coaching, and development. A BS/BA and 3–5 years in a related field, plus eligibility for a SIDA badge, are required.

Formación

• BS/BA and 3-5 years’ experience in related field, including supervisory experience.
• Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge eligibility and clearance process.

Responsabilidades

• Manage customs clearance activities in the customs house brokerage or gateway environment in an, efficient and cost-effective manner
• Ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products being shipped through all DHL facilities
• Establishes, monitors, and revises policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operations
• Ensures all policies and procedures are consistently administered
• Responsible for meeting key performance indicators targets for a given product
• Supervises a staff of approximately 30 with two direct reports. This person will be responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff
• Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes
