Job summary

Motion Industries in Tempe is seeking a Senior Customer Service Representative to respond to complex inquiries, provide quotes, and process orders under limited supervision. You will deepen relationships with customers to accurately determine needs and help ensure expectations are met.

This role requires strong communication, reliability, and product knowledge. You will guide less experienced colleagues, manage inventory considerations for orders, and coordinate shipping and returns to maximize

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and product knowledge.
• Strong reliability, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Responds to complex customer inquiries, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders by phone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in.
• Negotiates price within parameters to influence gross profit.
• May adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and improvements.
• Manage inventory for customers; place orders to maintain levels.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per PO without approval.
• Expedites backorders and prepares orders for shipment to customers.
• Source products in branch, DC, or supplier inventory.
• Determine most cost-effective shipping method.
• May handle customer returns.
• May be assigned to one customer.
• Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced reps.
• Assist others with addressing customer needs.
