Job summary

Motion Industries in Kalispell, MT is seeking a Customer Service Representative II to ensure customer expectations are accurately determined and fully met. Under general supervision, you will guide less experienced staff and support specific customers.

You will respond to inquiries, process orders, negotiate pricing within guidelines, maintain inventory awareness, and help drive service quality across orders and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of related experience.
• Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills; ability to negotiate pricing.
• Basic knowledge of products and inventory processes.
• Ability to address customer needs and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry; may handle more challenging inquiries.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influences Motion Industries' gross profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Orders items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Expedites backorders and prepares orders for shipment.
