Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of related experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with computer systems and standard software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and process orders.
• Place orders via phone, fax, email, or in person.
• Negotiate pricing within approved parameters to influence gross profit.
• Adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer needs while protecting profitability.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and process improvements.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels by ordering items as needed.
• Handle backorders and prepare orders for shipment.
• Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventories.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods for orders.
• Assist customers with returns when applicable.
• Support less experienced reps and resolve customer issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
