Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer SLED in Texas. This remote, Texas-based role focuses on public sector engagement, driving technical discovery, onboarding, and ongoing value realization for state, local, and education customers.

You will carry a quota, own discovery, demos, onboarding, health, risk, and expansion strategies, and work with AI-augmented workflows to reduce admin toil while delivering architectural design and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Public sector expertise in SLED, local government, or municipal agencies.
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions/Customer/Sales Engineering or FDE).
• Technical breadth: web security, networking, cloud infra, enterprise architecture.
• Proven quota-bearing or revenue-aligned experience.
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and bespoke architectures for public sector deals.
• Oversee onboarding, health, risk, and expansion with Account Executives.
• Drive quarterly business reviews translating platform value for executives.
• Act as trusted technical advisor throughout customer lifecycle.
• Leverage AI-augmented workflows to automate routine tasks.
