Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer focused on SLED. You will own the technical relationship from discovery to long-term adoption, working within a GTM framework to drive dashboards, security, and networking outcomes for state, local, and education sectors.

The role is remote for Texas residents, carrying a variable quota and requiring strong communication with C-level clients. You will use AI-augmented workflows to reduce admin workload while delivering high-value architectural

Qualifications

• Public Sector Expertise: Government IT constraints and buying cycles.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering.
• Technical acumen across web security, networking, cloud infrastructure.
• Commercial mindset with quota-carrying or revenue-aligned experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and design bespoke architectures for public sector buyers.
• Oversee onboarding, health, risk, and expansion strategy with Account Executives.
• Carry a quota and drive platform adoption and cross-sell opportunities.
• Act as trusted technical advisor through customer lifecycle from onboarding to renewal.
• Leverage AI-augmented workflows to automate admin tasks and focus on value.
