Job summary

Cloudflare is hiring a Senior Customer Engineer for SLED in the Southern California or Arizona region. This hybrid role is remote with preference for location in the listed regions.

You will own technical discovery, design bespoke architectures, and drive adoption and expansion across public sector customers. You will partner with Account Executives to manage onboarding, health, risk, and expansion, while carrying a quota and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Public sector expertise in SLED, Local Government, or Municipal agencies.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering or Customer Engineering.
• Broad technical expertise spanning web security, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Commercial mindset with a track record in quota-bearing or revenue-aligned roles.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management for government audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and build bespoke architectures and PoCs for public sector opportunities.
• Oversee onboarding, implementation, health, risk, and expansion with Account Executives.
• Carry a variable quota tied to new business and ongoing account growth; drive cross-sell and upsell.
• Lead quarterly business reviews translating platform capabilities into ROI for executives.
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle with AI-augmented workflows.
