Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group in Westlake, LA is seeking a Senior Technician to repair and modernize cranes, lead field technicians, and serve as the liaison with customers and management. The role emphasizes safety and on-call availability to meet customer needs.

The Senior Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade hoists and cranes at customer sites, perform inspections, and mentor junior staff while maintaining tools, vehicles, and equipment to high standards. Travel is possible.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of crane repair and maintenance experience.
• 3–4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Willing to work at various heights and off the ground.
• Ability to communicate well and work independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• On-call availability and after-hours service as required.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes at customer sites.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA crane inspections and generate reports.
• Coordinate with Service Manager to schedule work.
• Discuss safety improvements with customers.
• Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and assets in safe order.
• Operate tools and vehicles safely; report deficiencies.
• Attend trainings and participate in company programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
