Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician to specialize in modernization and repair of cranes and hoists. The role includes troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and upgrades at customer sites, with on-call and after-hours responsibilities as needed by clients.

The Senior Technician leads field technicians, communicates with management and customers, and ensures safety. Travel and overtime may be required to meet service commitments across branches.

Qualifications

• At least 5-7 years of crane repair & maintenance experience.
• At least 3-4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair & maintenance experience.
• Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• Must always commit to working and driving safely.
• Willingness to work off the ground at various heights.
• Basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs.
• Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team.
• Knowledge of hand tools and/or possess hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generate inspection reports and repair orders.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule work daily.
• Consult with customers regarding repair and safety issues and offer recommendations.
• Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and assets in safe working order.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and report deficiencies.
