Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician to service, repair, and modernize cranes at customer sites. The role requires leadership to guide field technicians and to liaise with management and customers while maintaining a safety-forward environment.

The technician must handle on-call duties, troubleshoot complex crane issues, and support inspections and upgrades. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for daily scheduling and customer satisfaction in a 24/7 service

Qualifications

• 5–7 years crane repair and maintenance experience.
• 3–4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair.
• Valid driver1s license and acceptable driving record
• Willing to work off the ground at various heights
• Basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs
• Able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team
• Knowledge of hand tools and/or possess hand tools
• Vocational/Technical training certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• On-call and after-hours service as required.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes at customer sites.
• Train and mentor field technicians
• Perform OSHA crane inspections and generate inspection reports and repair orders
• Communicate with Service Manager and Branch Manager for scheduling work daily
• Consult with customers on repair and safety improvements
• Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and assets in safe working order
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely; report deficiencies
• Attend trainings and seminars and participate in company programs
• Other duties as assigned
