Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group in Mobile, AL seeks a Senior Technician to specialize in modernization and repair of cranes. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade cranes, and lead field technicians as a liaison between management and customers.

This safety-first role requires self-sufficiency, good communication, and willingness to be on-call, with occasional after-hours or weekend work to support customers across our 24/7 service operation.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years crane repair and maintenance experience.
• 3–4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work at heights and off the ground.
• Basic computer skills for crane inspection programs.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call and provide after-hours service.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes at customer sites.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA required crane inspections and generate reports.
• Communicate with Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule work.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety improvements.
• Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and assets.
• Operate tools and vehicles safely; notify supervisor of deficiencies.
• Maintain supply of forms and materials in the vehicle.
• Work well in a team; attend trainings.
• Participate in HCSG 5 Marks program.
• Other duties as assigned.
