Job summary

Relativity seeks a Counsel, Commercial Transactions to guide commercial contracting and AI-enabled product negotiations. You will draft, review, and negotiate software, SaaS and hybrid cloud agreements, collaborating with Sales, Finance, Security, IT and Compliance.

You will advise internal stakeholders, manage a high-volume contract load, and drive efficiency through new standard forms and automated tools, including AI-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in-house or at a law firm supporting technology transactions.
• Experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, professional services, data processing, and enterprise commercial agreements.
• Experience supporting complex commercial contracting environments.
• Understanding of technology, including legal tech, cloud services, software licensing, information security, privacy, IP, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled products and emerging tech issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Intelligence, flexibility, creativity, diligence, resourcefulness, responsiveness, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, strategic commercial negotiations and related agreements, including software, SaaS, cloud services, AI offerings, and partnerships.
• Provide legal advice and business counsel on commercial and operational issues and manage high-volume contracts.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel listened to and deliver.
• Suggest process improvements and standard forms to improve efficiency.
• Be agile with AI legal tech tools to improve efficiency and adapt to new tools.
• Support pricing initiatives and governance projects with Finance and Business Ops.
• Participate in internal approval workflows and respond to stakeholder questions.
• Proficient with AI tools and legal tech, MS Office, Salesforce and Ironclad.
