Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions to draft, review, and negotiate SaaS, software licensing, and hybrid cloud agreements. You will partner with Sales, Product, Security, Finance, and other teams to manage risk, improve contracting processes, and support strategic initiatives.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled tooling, data processing, and go-to-market arrangements, with a focus on delivering business value while protecting the company’s interests.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school and US bar license.
• 8+ years of experience in-house and/or at a law firm with technology transactions.
• Experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, data processing, and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, and strategic commercial negotiations for software, SaaS and hybrid cloud services.
• Provide strategic legal advice and negotiate high-volume contracts with varying complexity.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel listened to and heard.
• Suggest and implement process improvements, including standard forms and contract variations.
• Leverage AI legal tech tools and be willing to try new ones.
• Lead pricing initiatives and governance projects with Finance and Biz Ops.
• Participate in internal approval workflows and manage stakeholder queries.
• Use AI tools, MS Office, Salesforce, and Ironclad effectively and responsibly.
