Job summary

Relativity seeks a Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions to support its commercial contracting function, focusing on SaaS, licensing, cloud services, AI-enabled offerings, and strategic partnerships. The role involves negotiating complex agreements and advising senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Security, and Finance.

The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to enable growth, scale contracting processes, and manage risk while leveraging AI-enabled legal tech tools

Qualifications

• Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in-house and/or at a law firm supporting technology transactions.
• Extensive experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, professional services, data processing, strategic partnership, and enterprise commercial agreements.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled products and emerging technology issues.
• JD degree from an accredited law school and license to practice in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, and strategic commercial negotiations and transactions and technology-related legal work by drafting, reviewing and negotiating software, SaaS and hybrid, cloud services, AI-related offerings, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Be a reliable and trusted advisor by providing strategic legal counsel on commercial, operational and strategic legal issues and negotiating a high volume of contracts.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel listened to and deliver.
• Suggest and work on improvements in contracting processes and standard forms.
• Exhibit agility with AI legal technology tools and identify which tools work best for different purposes.
