Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions to support its commercial contracting function, focusing on SaaS, licensing, partnerships, cloud services, data processing, and AI-enabled offerings. The role partners with Sales, Product, Security, Finance and other teams to enable growth, manage risk, and scale contracting processes.

The candidate will lead negotiations, provide strategic legal advice, and drive improvements in workflows while using AI tools and legal tech

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in-house or at a law firm handling technology transactions.
• Extensive SaaS, software, cloud services and enterprise contracting experience.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy, security, IP and regulatory concepts.
• Experience with AI-enabled products and legal tech tools.
• Proven ability to draft, negotiate and close complex commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations on software, SaaS, cloud services and strategic partnerships.
• Advise internal stakeholders on commercial and strategic legal issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Security, IT and Compliance to meet timelines.
• Improve contracting processes and standard forms to scale operations.
• Leverage AI legal tech tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support pricing initiatives and governance with cross-functional teams.
• Manage internal approvals and respond to stakeholder questions.
