Job summary

Acuity - PT&C, LLC is seeking a Staff Cost Consultant to lead cost estimating, analysis, and control activities on complex projects in the United States. You will work with project personnel, prepare budgets, cost data for proposals, and coordinate reports, while guiding junior staff.

The role requires 5–10 years in engineering/construction cost work, a Bachelor's degree, and a Certified Cost Professional is preferred; travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 5–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Certified Cost Professional preferred; must obtain within one year of employment.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Knowledge of capital and services cost.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements cost recording, reporting, and analysis standards and reports.
  • Prepares cost data for projects, proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Assist with scope change management.
  • Coordinate data with Engineering to conform to estimate preparation plan.
  • Develops quantity takeoffs and applies unit rates to estimates.
  • Prepare, budget, and coordinate cost reports.
  • Collects and classifies cost engineering data.
  • Perform data analysis and development.
  • Support project manager and staff as directed.
