Job summary

Acuity - PT&C, LLC is seeking a Staff Cost Consultant to lead cost estimating, analysis, and control activities within project teams. You will develop budgets, prepare cost data for proposals, and coordinate cost reports while supporting professional development and maintaining project schedules across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Certified Cost Professional certification from AACE International or similar preferred; must obtain within one year.
• Knowledge in capital cost and services cost.
• Knowledge of scope change management.
• Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications.
• Strong communication, leadership and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
• Assists in preparing cost data for projects, proposals and contract negotiations.
• Assist with scope change management.
• Determines scope definition requirements for a discipline or other specialty and coordinates data to conform to the estimate preparation plan.
• Develops quantity takeoffs and verifies quantities provided by others.
• Applies unit rates to takeoffs and quantities.
• Prepares specific budgets and coordinates cost reports.
• Collects and classifies cost engineering data.
• Performs data analysis and development.
• Performs other duties as directed by the Project Manager / Supervisor / Manager.
