Job summary

Acuity - PT&C, LLC is seeking a Staff Cost Consultant to lead cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for project teams. You will maintain relationships with engineers and discipline leaders, develop data-driven estimates, and support project schedules while guiding junior staff.

The role emphasizes preparing budgets, cost reports, and data analysis, with travel up to 25%. A US citizen candidate with a related engineering or construction background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Certified Cost Professional (AACE) certification preferred; must obtain within one year of employment.
• Knowledge of capital cost and services cost.
• Experience with scope change management.
• Proficiency in engineering, procurement, contracts, construction systems, and startup processes.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint for work processes.

Responsibilities

• Develops cost recording, reporting, and analysis standards, programs, and reports.
• Prepare cost data for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Assist with scope change management and coordination of data for estimates.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and apply unit rates to quantities.
• Prepare budgets and cost reports; collect and classify cost data.
• Provide data analysis and development; support project goals and schedules.
