Job summary

Acuity - PT&C, LLC is seeking a Staff Cost Consultant to lead cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for complex projects. You will manage budgets, data analysis, and cost reporting, while supporting project managers and engineers to meet project goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with discipline leaders, strong communication, and ongoing professional development within our project controls team.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Certified Cost Professional (CPI) from AACE International or similar certification; certification to be obtained within one year.
• Knowledge of capital cost and services cost.
• Knowledge of scope change management.
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction systems and startup processes.
• Proficiency in multiple discipline-specific software applications.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills related to cost.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes impacting Project Controls.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing cost recording, reporting, and analysis standards, programs and reports.
• Prepare cost data for projects, proposals and contracts negotiations.
• Assist with scope change management and data coordination.
• Define scope requirements with Engineering and other sources for estimate preparation.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and apply unit rates to quantities.
• Prepare budgets and cost reports in line with prescribed standards.
• Collect and classify cost engineering data and perform data analysis.
• Lead project team members and support project schedule and goals.
• Support professional development and uphold company mission and values.
