4+ years of cost engineering in data center construction and a relevant bachelor's degree are required; advanced degrees are preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cost engineering experience, focused on data center construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in cost estimation software.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities; solid forecasting and cost accounting knowledge.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to thrive in a client-facing role.
• Good organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.
• Perform cost analysis and forecasting to ensure projects stay within budget.
• Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present cost reports and progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and contract management to ensure cost control.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in project design and execution.
• Engage and manage third-party quantity surveyors and validate construction cost estimates.
• Update and maintain a repository for historical cost data.
• Define and track cost performance metrics, leading monthly cost reporting and analysis; SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
