Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on a large-scale data center program. You will act as the primary client interface, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget with strong governance and commercial rigor.

The role requires deep experience in cost planning, procurement, and EVM, with client-facing communication and leadership of a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in cost management/project controls within mission-critical environments (data centers, high-tech, industrial).
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting and EVM is essential.
• Procurement strategies and management of contractor/vendor contracts are important.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates through design and delivery phases.
• Produce monthly cost reports and funding data for stakeholders.
• Coordinate all sources of cost information for robust validation and auditing.
• Lead procurement strategy development and contract price negotiations.
• Manage final accounts and ensure timely agreement.
• Own change control and reconcile cost variances throughout the lifecycle.
• Support cost risk analysis and contingency management.
• Integrate cost with schedule and scope with project controls teams.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure governance and SOX compliance where applicable.
