Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Frederick, Maryland is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support a large-scale data center program. This role is the primary client-facing cost management lead, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget with strong commercial controls and stakeholder engagement.

The role is primarily remote, with travel to the project site 3–4 days per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, QS, Engineering or related field.
• 5–7+ years' cost management experience on mission-critical data center projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and EVM familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates through design and delivery phases.
• Produce monthly cost reports and funding data for stakeholders.
• Coordinate all sources of cost information for validation and auditing.
• Lead procurement strategy and commercial negotiations to achieve fair pricing.
• Manage final accounts and change control throughout the lifecycle.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure SOX/compliance where applicable.
