Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management across the full lifecycle of data center projects. The role focuses on cost planning, modeling and pre-construction activities, supporting informed decisions from feasibility through delivery.

You will work with our Data Center estimating team, lead client-facing discussions, review estimates, and ensure robust cost strategies are implemented with strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation or in progress is preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects of medium to high complexity.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgets with detailed cost modelling and benchmarking for senior leadership.
• Monitor budget tracking, variance reporting, and value analyses across projects.
• Guide development of RFPs for design services, owner-furnished equipment, and direct procurement.
• Lead RFP process for GC bidding, negotiation, and award (GMP with partners).
• Support change management and risk analyses on pre- and post-GC contracts.
• Resolve major contractual claims and mitigate disputes where possible.
• Review project cash flow analytics and earned value management.
• Oversee project close-out and vendor settlements against contractual terms.
