Job summary

Acuity - PT&C, LLC seeks a Staff Cost Consultant to perform cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, leading QA reviews and maintaining relations with project personnel. The role supports project schedule, goals, and staff development while upholding the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities include developing cost data for projects, proposals, and negotiations; managing scope changes; preparing budgets and reports; and applying unit costs to takeoffs.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Certified Cost Professional or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience in cost recording, reporting, and analysis; cost data preparation for projects and proposals.
• Knowledge of scope change management and capital/services cost.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
• Assists in preparing cost data for projects, proposals and contract negotiations.
• Assist with scope change management.
• Determines scope definition requirements for a discipline or other specialty and coordinates data for estimate preparation.
• Develops quantity takeoffs and applies unit rates to quantities.
• Prepares budgets and cost reports and collects cost engineering data.
• Performs data analysis and development for cost management.
• Support project management and staff development as directed.
