Acuity - PT&C, LLC is seeking a Senior Cost Consultant to lead cost estimating, analysis, and control activities on complex projects. You will guide project teams, maintain schedules, and support professional development while upholding the company's mission and values.

The role requires close collaboration with engineers and discipline leaders, and involves travel up to 25%. Excellent communication and cost-management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Possess Certified Cost Professional certification from AACE International or similar certification.
• Knowledge in capital cost and services cost.
• Knowledge of scope change management.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction systems, and startup work processes.
• Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost problems.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller codes, and related instructions.
• Knowledge in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint for executing work processes.
• Skilled in oral and written communication; strong leadership and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
• Assists in preparing cost data for projects, proposals and contract negotiations.
• Assist with scope change management.
• Determines scope definition requirements for a discipline or other specialty and coordinates data for the estimate preparation plan.
• Develops quantity takeoffs for a discipline or specialty and verifies quantities.
• Develops and applies unit rates to takeoffs and quantities within a discipline.
• Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
• Prepare and coordinate cost reports.
• Collects and classifies cost engineering data.
• Performs data analysis and development.
• Performs other duties as directed by the Project Manager / Supervisor / Manager.
