Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking an experienced Program/Event Manager to plan and deliver corporate meetings end to end in the United States. You will manage budgets up to $500k, lead onsite execution, and coordinate with suppliers, attendees, and internal teams.

This role requires strong Cvent skills, impeccable communication, and the ability to handle multiple programs across different stages while ensuring on-time close and complete documentation.

Qualifications

• Four or more years planning corporate meetings and events.
• Experience as onsite lead on ten or more programs a year.
• Independent management of program budgets up to $500,000, with forecasts and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of hotel and supplier contracts, contracts, banquet orders, and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver assigned programs end to end with the producer, from kickoff through onsite execution and close.
• Keep the program plan current in the client's project tools, with tasks, owners, and dates.
• Build and manage program budgets with the producer, independently up to $500,000.
• Manage suppliers once sourcing hands off, including hotels, venues, transportation, food and beverage, and audiovisual, from contract terms through invoices.
• Work with Attendee Experience Coordinators on registration, housing, and attendee communications.
• Lead onsite for the programs you carry, including staffing and run of show.
• Carry several programs at different stages at once, including ten or more onsite a year.
• Close every program on time, with final invoices and debrief.
