Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking an Event Manager to plan and deliver end-to-end programs for a dedicated Experience Studio team built around one enterprise client. You will collaborate with a producer on strategy, stakeholders, and content, handling plans, budgets, suppliers, and onsite logistics to ensure successful programs.

Qualifications

• Four or more years planning corporate meetings and events.
• Experience as onsite lead on ten or more programs a year.
• Independent management of program budgets up to $500,000 with accurate forecasts and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of hotel and supplier contracts, banquets, and cost drivers (attrition, minimums, overtime, late changes).
• Strong command of Cvent and enterprise project/collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver assigned programs end to end with the producer, from kickoff through onsite execution and close.
• Keep the program plan current in the client's project tools, with tasks, owners, and dates.
• Build and manage program budgets with the producer, up to $500,000, and with a Senior Event Manager on larger programs.
• Manage suppliers from contract terms through final invoices within procurement rules.
• Coordinate Attendee Experience from registration to communications and housing deadlines.
• Lead onsite for programs, including staffing and run of show.
• Carry multiple programs at different stages, including ten or more onsite per year.
• Close programs on time with invoices, reconciliation, and debriefing with recommendations.
• Maintain planning files and notes for seamless handoff to another manager.
• Raise scope/budget/timing risks early with recommendations.
